Prayer is talking to God, in our own words – often so that only He can hear with Love’s heart

In the New Testament Jesus tells his disciples that, when they talk to God, they should go to their ‘private room’; he advises them to speak to God from their hearts, in their own words, and to avoid drawing attention to themselves. Why is this wonderful? Because God doesn’t respect show-offs; he loves people who are genuine and sincere – those who do not try to impress people with long word and who behave as if they are important. Jesus asks us to be humble before God – it doesn’t impress God when we try to impress other people – only God knows where we’re really coming from…do you? Can we be that honest with ourselves? We can try and God will help us, if we do. How great is our God!Image

A Blogg about Blogging by a Blogger – new to the game

OK – Let’s start…a poem for today… (my aim to post one a day – all original, of course….

Blogging, trying to dodge jobs which need to be done

Swopping tales,  now fogged up by life’s experiences and coloured by dreams

Robbed by distractions – other than blogging, of course –  so time is precious

Hopping from thought to thought, blogg to blogg, idea to idea

Hogging the computer, promising speed, and no delays

A queue is forming; the pressure builds…to log it all, and hit the right keys.

Are you in the frame, playing this game of words on the paper – or screen, should I say?

Mopping up memories, hiding the worst

Sharing the good ones, though the odd are the best!

Will God see my blogg – and will He take it on board?

Because it comes from a place, deeper than a bog –

Of trials, and great times, as cogs in life’s wheel

Turning and burning and yearning for Truth

Wanting and needing to learn  why we’re here

And finding that love is the only real deal

And God I now know is all about love

So blogg to our God, who logs our whole life

and looks into our hearts to find how we love

Even if He has to jog  and jostle, and strain out the bad

He will rinse us right through, so soggy and clean

He will then pick us up  and place in our hearts

Love, only love, only love, only love…

Only love forged from His unimaginable, inexhaustible love.
